Number conservation

This week work on developing number conservation awareness. You will notice that your child can accurately determine that two rows contain the same number of coins when they are placed in a one-to-one correspondence. But in children under 7, they often incorrectly think that a longer row contains more coins when coins in the longer row are spread apart. Conservatism is the awareness that despite different lengths, there are the same amount. And you can start working on this now.
