Vocabulary building

This week’s activities will focus on vocabulary development. Developing a strong, robust vocabulary will be very important when your child begins formal reading instruction. Exposing your child to new words can be easy! Having meaningful discussions, pointing out/talking about unique items while out and about and reading every day are all super, effortless activities that will benefit your child’s vocabulary. Keep in mind, a child must be exposed to a word several times before it becomes a part of her workable word bank.
