Five senses

This week your child will be exploring the 5 senses. Your five year old is learning about our world each and every day, and all of the new information is acquired through their senses. The five senses include seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touch. While around your home ask questions this week like, “What senses do we use when we ride a bike?” (We see where to go. We hear the tires. We feel the handles and petals. We might smell oil, but we never taste a bike!). Making popcorn is an excellent activity for the 5 senses! You can hear it popping, smell the distinct smell, see it in the bowl, feel the crunch on our teeth and taste the yummy flavor!
