It is important to provide your child with materials, time and space to be creative. Use an old box to fill with wrapping paper scraps, old gift bows, magazines, snips of yarn, small gift boxes, leftover packing material-whatever ”treasured trash” might be useful during art time. Also include glue, child-safe scissors, markers and crayons. Let your child have free-reign over this box. Recognize and celebrate any creative efforts! Keep in mind that when it come to “kid’s art”, it’s the process, not the product that is important.
