Rhyme time

Work on rhymes this week. Teaching your child rhymes reinforces identifying letter sounds and beginning reading skills. Help your child to see that rhymes sound the same and also look the same when written. Write 5 words on a piece of paper and say them for your child: bat, bag, cap, dish, bike. Think of rhyming words for each and write next to the word. Point out same letters.
